otro fin de semana a tope

Ayer me fui a dormir a las doce, así que hoy tengo seis horas de sueño reparador bajo mi cinturón. ¡Excelente!

Además, no me ha costado nada levantarme. No hay nada como estar motivado por un fin de semana excitante para obligarte a salir de la cama y ponerte en marcha. Con alegría. No me reconozco.

Este fin de semana pasan muchas cosas. Para empezar, nada más salir del trabajo cojo el metro para ir a buscar a la Valenciana, que viene de visita y le vamos a hacer una fiesta no-tan-sorpresa de cumpleaños.

El sábado, como hoy no voy a poder hacer las compras, empezaré el día pasando por la plaza y por el Mercadona, tu supermercado de confianza, y después de cabeza al gimnasio.
Y después, a atacar las tareas domésticas habituales, hasta donde llegue, porque por la tarde he quedado. Oh, the lulz.

El domingo tiene pinta de ser algo más tranquilo: plancha, la limpieza que no pude hacer el sábado y por la tarde también he quedado. Moar lulz.

Si es que últimamente los fines de semana estoy on fire. El problema es que no voy a poder coser la rafia al disfraz, laaa-la-la-la. Si tengo suerte, el sábado que viene haremos un taller de emergencia para acabar los disfraces.

I... don't get some of the pictures, but it's funny anyway.
For example, the first picture is the search result for "dos manos" (two-handed), which makes sense but is way too unrelated to my usual writing stuff. (Unless you count that one fic that's still in my mind. In that case, way to read minds, yahoo!search!)

dos semanas con barba

Quizá haya perdido un poco de sentido hablar ahora de la barba, habiéndomela afeitado a principios de Noviembre. Del año pasado. Pero me hace ilusión hablar de las dos semanas que llevé barba.

Técnicamente, fueron tres, pero la primera no la cuento porque fue la semana preparatoria. Esa semana que por una razón u otra no tienes ganas de afeitarte y, cuando llega el domingo, te dices "tate, ¿y si no te afeitas? Tienes la longitud suficiente para que parezca barba, y no dejadez." Y es que siempre hay un tiempo en que amasas y juntas material para trabajar. Luego llega la previsión de fondos del banco para levantar la hipoteca y te deja a dos velas... Lo bueno es que, al final, sobró dinero de la previsión de fondos y me lo devolvieron. Pero vaya narices que tienen de secuestrarlo para nada.

Pero volvamos al tema de la barba.

La primera semana estuvo muy bien. Tuve que ir con algo de cuidado: una barba y piel grasa no es una combinación demasiado afortunada, así que cada día me lavaba la cara con jabón dos veces. Quizá excesivo, es posible, pero así me ahorraba la sensación de tener la cara con la capacidad de hacer transparentes las paredes.
La segunda semana la cosa se complicó un poco: picores. Oh, cielos, los picores. Ya había llegado a esa longitud donde me picaba constantemente, y donde la piel parecía que no había visto la luz del sol en toda su vida. No recuerdo cuánto dura una célula de la piel antes de desprenderse, pero se sentían como si vivieran en Ember.
Había llegado ese punto donde había que recortar la longitud de la barba en general. No sólo arreglársela (afeitándose la papada y haciendo una línea recta desde el bigote a la patilla, para que no parezcas un porDios), sino reducir la longitud de todos los pelos. Y ahí me quedé un poco que no sabía cómo hacerlo; la máquina de afeitar o te lo deja raso o no te lo coje, pero no permite regular longitudes; y con la tijera sería la muerte. Así que opté por dar un poco de luz a la cara entera y me afeité la barba por completo.

Eso sí, la experiencia ha sido satisfactoria. No me gusta especialmente mi tipo de barba, creo que una más poblada da más gusto de ver, pero sigo manteniendo que la barba es el maquillaje natural para los hombres. ¡Si es que te cambia la cara! Te la puede perfilar, te la puede ensuciar... Todo es cuestión de cuidarla.

Y no, no hay fotos. Si queréis verme con barba, avisad con un mes de antelación y dejaros caer por Sabadell :p

Ayer estuve jugando un poco más a Just Dance. Eso que llegas a casa y te encuentras con que es demasiado temprano para hacer la cena y el tupper, y necesitas algo en lo que invertir una hora. Junta un intervalo de tiempo en que la televisión podría estar sin antena que no pasaría nada y el frío que hace en la calle y surgirá de tí un deseo irrefrenable de moverte.
Bueno, quizá no tan irrefrenable, pero sí agradecido. Y ya que tenía el disco de Just Dance puesto, pues... Pues me puse a jugar.
Ahora ya tengo todas las canciones con más de diez mil puntos. En la pantalla de Progreso ya me aparecen todas con un marco dorado. Es tan bonito.
He descubierto, además, que existe una puntuación aún mejor, que decora que te cagas las canciones en la pantalla de selección: sólo hay que superar los quince mil puntos en una canción para que te marque como la hostia en patinete.
Pero admitiré que superar los quince mil puntos en todas las canciones se me hace harto complicado. Seguramente lo intente para las que más me gustan, que ya rondan los trece mil puntos. No voy a revisar mi decisión de compra de Just Dance 2, en resumen.
Lo importante es que ya he cumplido mis condiciones. Como aún voy a esperar unos meses para hacerme con la segunda parte, a ver si baja un poco de precio, puedo ir mejorando mis puntuaciones y disfrutando de brincar ante la tele en la intimidad de mi hogar.

Hay algo que no entiendo. No sé porqué la canción donde he conseguido superar por primera vez la barrera de los quince mil puntos es una que tiene máxima dificultad técnica y mayor desgaste energético. Y como no lo entiendo, voy a conformarme justificándolo con un don innato para menear el culo. ¡Tiembla de miedo, J.Lo!

A couple weeks ago one of my coworkers send me a link to Code Organ, which is a page that plays any web.

So then I went and listened to both my dreamwidth and my livejournal, because I'm egocentric like that. It's funny how they play so different considering they share most of their content.

My livejournal is more darker and edgier (and emo-er?) than my dreamwidth, with the Rock Guitar and Drum Loop 8. It makes me picture a bad tv show about teen vampires.
My dreamwidth feels more catchy, with the Clavi and the Drum Loop 1. It's a nice tune, and it gets in your brain after a while.

Estos días el trabajo se está portando bien. Cómo se nota que aún se está volviendo de vacaciones :p

La semana que viene se preve mucho movimiento por estos lares. Parece que en Septiembre esta gente se aceleran y pasan de la calma veraniega a un estado de hiperactividad en el que todo es urgente y todo tiene que salir para ya. Como es mi primer Septiembre aquí, no sé si están exagerando o están siendo fieles a la realidad. (O, aún peor, están suavizándome la amarga píldora.)

Mi hermana ha empezado hoy las prácticas para sacarse el carné. A finales de Julio se presentó al teórico y se lo sacó a la primera. Ahora le toca ponerse tras el volante y ver cómo se le da.
Espero que se le dé mejor que andar, porque se mete cada costalazo...
Deseémoslo suerte entre todos, porque para estas cosas nunca se tiene bastante :D

Con suerte esta noche nos contará qué tal y tendremos un montón de anécdotas de casi-atropellos por contar. Oh, aprender es tan divertido :D
