aliens think of the children
Jul. 7th, 2009 08:48 pmOr, more accurately, grown-up children think of the children?
Anyway, new Torchwood series, running workdays during this week. A full week full of Torchwood full-ness. Joy, I has it!
This first chapter's been good. I've enjoyed it so much! We get to see more about Torchwood families (Oh hai thar, Ianto's sister! And Captain's daughter and grandson(!). And Gwen and Rhys' baby(!!))
I've missed Ianto's voice so much. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. What can I say? It just melts me. With his voice. Guh.
And I've also missed Gwen. Strange, how I was all "awwww" every time she's on-screen, being so Gwen-y with people. I guess I agree with what Jack said about her. She makes Torchwood more... human. And I love her for that. As time goes by, I appreciate her more.
And her teeths. Oh her teeths! I'm glad she hasn't fixed them! It makes her more her. No, I don't know what I'm trying to say either. Probably that they'll give my dentist nightmares.
I find funny how Torchwood security is now so damn low without Tosh rocking the Hub's computer and communication system. Aww, Tosh :( It's like everyone is able to hack into their data stream. It's not like they're intercepting and decrypting their internet communications, they almost got into their computers to find about not-really-Tim.
And the car. Yeah, Ianto's car hijacked? Don't like the idea, I have this "nobody messes with Ianto's stuff" impression of Ianto, given how secretive he is with his personal things (like his diary), and to have his car stolen... Well, I don't like it :p
But it's not only their "queries" (let's call it this way, ok?), it's their tech. Like that laser-scalpel (yes, I'm not good with gizmo names. That's why I liked Gwen a bit more after her technical name explanation), it's not Torchwood-exclusive? Hmm.
I'm not good with this military (or paramilitary) stuff, so I don't know if that organization is UNIT or not (I'd go with "no" due to lack of red berets. That's a UNIT's must). Their access to Torchwood tech and hteir knowledge of Torchwood internal protocols (or at least an approximation to them. Like how they recruit people. No, it wasnt' a wild guess, it has been planned during months)
I liked the doctor-spy-infiltrator-badperson. Even after he shot Jack (aww, the hug!). He's a bit reckless and I don't find that specially good, but... It's still better than Owen :p
And it make us wait, but the kiss! Hurried but still good! Yay!
I love this fandom because I don't need slash!googles. Just like Merlin :p
And I won't be able to look my tupperware the same way after what Ianto and Jack have done with theirs. I just hope they clean it thoroughly. With space bleach.
I hope the rest of this Series 3 keeps going as the first chapter :D
